Uttarakhand, also known as “Devbhoomi” or “Land of the Gods,” is home to numerous Hindu temples and sacred sites. Among the various pilgrimage routes, the Chardham Yatra holds immense significance. This spiritual journey covers four holy shrines in the Himalayas: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
The Chardham Yatra is typically undertaken in a clockwise direction, starting from Yamunotri, moving on to Gangotri and Kedarnath, and concluding at Badrinath. The pilgrimage is accessible only during the summer and autumn months (April to November). Travelers can reach the destinations via road or opt for helicopter services for added convenience.
