Kudremukha is the name of a mountain range and an individual mountain peak located in Chikmagaluru district, in Karnataka, India.
Belur Temple is an exquisite example of Hoysala architecture. The Chennakeshava Temple in Belur took over a hundred years to complete. The temple in Belur was constructed using soapstone.
Let’s Trek Kuduremukha Peak, the 3rd highest peak in Karnataka with an elevation of 1894 meters.
Kudremukha literally means horse’s face in Kannada. Kudremukha is a home for many flora and fauna. You can even spot deer and peacocks on the way amongst other wildlife while trekking! It is a beautiful trek across the rolling green hills and misty valleys. You traverse through grasslands, forests. One of the fascinating parts of this section is the waterfalls and small streams. You have to cross many streams on the way to the peak. Sometimes you may have to wet your shoes while crossing.
Note : Kudremukha trek permits are issued based on the availability from the forest department. If we do not get permits, TFGW Team have all rights to cancel the event or postpone or refund.
